Sofia NikolaidouSofia Nikolaidou studied classical literature (undergraduate and postgraduate studies) and utilization of Information and Communication Technologies for the teaching of literature (phd thesis). Sofia Nikolaidou was born in Thessaloniki in 1968. She studied classical literature (postgraduate diploma of Classical Studies AUTH). She has postgraduate expertise in the pedagogical use of computer and network technologies in secondary education. She participated in the research team assembled by the Ministry of Education for the study of problems which may arise from the current teaching program of Ancient Greek in secondary school (1994-5). She is working in secondary education as an educator in Information and Communication Technologies. She has published prose works, essays, as well as translations. She has also written scripts for films and in the last three years she has participated in the jury of Dekata magazine for the foreign novel award. Her work has been included in eighteen Greek and eight foreign anthologies of literature. Her short stories have been translated in eight languages. Since 2001 she is collaborating with Ta Nea newspaper for issues dealing with books. Her website is www.snikolaidou.gr
